As of 2:30 P.M. January 30th, there are 57 senators voting in favor of Judge Alito's confirmation to the SCOTUS, 3 short of the required amount for cloture. Even though the debate and vote is not finished, things are looking positive for Alito's confirmation to the highest court in the land.
Currently Senator Lautenberg, Democrat, from New Jersey, is at the podium, droning on and on.
