A tale of two cities

How come Texas can handle a natural disaster of this magnitude with ease, but the state of Louisiana cannot? Simple: corruption. The entire state government of Louisiana is completely corrupt, down to the lowliest mayor in Jerkwater Bayou. Texas, which is facing a full hit, not just the corner of a hurricane, has managed to evacuate a huge portion of its citizens. Texas wasn't going to face the same bullshit that Louisiana faced. I praise the Texas government and the mayor of Houston for their quick work and actual use of the government vehicles, such as school buses and police vehicles, to remove the people in danger of Rita. Texas clearly has its act together. Click the image for a clearer view
