I have added a podcast to the site; now the podcast is not my voice, it is actually a computer reading the entry, but the mp3's can be downloaded and placed on an ipod or similar device. The podcast is by a service called Talkr.
I may add an actual podcast someday, I have the equipment, but just lack the time.

What what what??? Bin Laden not wanted for 9/11?!?

Contrary to what most people may think, the FBI and CIA are not hunting for Osama Bin Laden, they don't even list him as part of the 9/11 perpetrators. In fact the only reason he was on the FBI's most wanted page is due to his involvement with embassy bombings in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya, and while these crimes are terrible in their own right, they aren't on the same scale as 9/11 was. This leaves one to wonder if Osama was involved at all, after all he lives in a cave, is sickly and on dialysis and has relatively friendly ties with certain rich American families.
Curiously, the Justice Department has decided NOT to indict Bin Laden for 9/11 despite the administration's early assurance that he did in fact command the attack.
Makes one wonder if the official story is true at all.

Pluto is a planet, regardless of what they say.

I grew up with the understanding that Pluto was a planet, but now that has changed, mainly due to an arbitrary decision to alter the definition of what a planet is. This decision was made by a group of scientists known as the International Astronomical Union, a group that has been granted the authority to name planets, stars and other celestial bodies. Basically these are grown men who read fantasy novels and name dots in the sky 'xena' and other such nonsense, all the while the objects they name remain to be nothing more than chunks of rock and gas suspended in the wideness of space. Does the number of planets really matter? not really; but what does matter is one little object of popular culture and a really nifty teaching aid:
My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pies
If she can't serve us pies, what will she serve us?
Are we to assume that she is serving merely nine persons? What if you are on a baseball team? Will the five other players just have to go home? Or the six if this is a major league team. That certainly doesn't seem fair to the excluded team mates? And what does that do for team morale? How is a successful season supposed to take place if the team is pitted against one another over who gets served by the obviously intelligent mother?
What will the other solar systems think when they hear we are excluding a planet due to its size? They just might cease their probing and that's terrible for our super market tabloid business.
I tell you, nothing good will come from this decision.

European forces will make up over half of the peace keeping forces being deployed to Lebanon; "Europe is providing the backbone of the force," said UN Sec. General Kofi Annan, "We can now begin to put together a credible force." Italy and France are making the largest commitments, with 3000 Italian soldiers and 2000 French soldiers being promised. Even with the considerable numbers being promised, the fate of the whole operation will rest with the Lebanese military and will depend on their effectiveness in patrolling their homeland.

A young man is being questioned by the FBI due to dynamite that was found inside of his luggage. The man is from Connecticut and attends college in Pennsylvania, Dunlap. The explosive was found during a typical inspection, authorities believe it to be a half stick of dynamite. His excuse is that he had explored mines in Bolivia and brought the dynamite back as a souvenir; the dynamite has been removed to be tested in a lab in Houston. He was flying on Continental Airlines Flight 52 from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Houston, Texas, which landed at 6 a.m. Friday.

"Congressman's Sri Lanka trip questioned"

"WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- A trip to Sri Lanka by U.S. Rep. Danny Davis, D-Ill., reportedly paid for by a terrorist group, is under investigation, sources tell the Chicago Tribune.
The 7-day journey by Davis and an aide last year was said to have been funded by the Tamil Tigers, a group the U.S. government designated as a terrorist organization, the Tribune said.
The trip came under scrutiny after 11 supporters of the organization were arrested in an alleged conspiracy to aid the terrorist group through money laundering, arms procurement and bribery.
Davis, a five-term congressman, said he thought the trip was paid for by a Tamil cultural organization, the Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America, based in Hickory Hills, Ill.
During the visit, Davis said he spent most of his time in a region controlled by the Tigers, a separatist group seeking an independent state for 3.2 million ethnic Tamils in Sri Lanka."

Minorities rise in most US states

By 2050 the United States will cease to be a western nation, instead it will be composed of non western persons who have their own cultures, languages and traditions while caring little for the culture and laws that established this country. This is the same story in almost every other nation consisting of Europeans. European civilization is dying, pure and simple. Our population has been overwhelmed by rampant breeding in third world nations, we have more and more 'minorities' entering our lands each and every day and we have less and less money to spend on advancing our civilization due to these third worlders abusing our welfare system.

“As Rome passed away, so, the West is passing away, from the same causes and in much the same way. What the Danube and Rhine were to Rome, the Rio Grande and Mediterranean are to America and Europe, the frontiers of a civilization no longer defended.” (Drudge)Western civilization, once a powerhouse of scientific innovation, economic superiority and the political ideal, is fading away and civilization is fading along with it.

A major change in income taxation...

The DC circuit court ruled today that the IRS cannot tax non-physical personal injury awards. The court ruled in favor of Murphy in Murphy vs. The United States, she was arguing that monies awarded to her due to emotional distress were not income and thus were not taxable under the rules established by the U.S. constitution.
Apparently the court's opinion is that monies awarded for personal injury are actually "return of capital" and that any money awarded was in fact compensation for human capital lost.

"Bush administration agrees to extend by three-year loan guarantees for Israel given to Israel in 2003; Israel has used USD 4.9 billion of a total USD 9 billion
Ynet
Published: 08.20.06, 12:29
The Bush administration has agreed to an Israel demand that a loan guarantee deal be extended by an additional three years, until 2011.
The Congress needs to approve the move.
Finance Minister Abraham Hirchson said the administration's conceding to Israel's request underscores Washington's faith in Israeli economy.
In 2003, the United States approved a USD 9 billion aid package to Israel in the form of loan guarantees which allow Israel to borrow money on the international market for low interest rates.
Israel has used less than half of the fund leaving USD 4.6 billion in available cash.
Finance Minister Director General Yossi Bachar discussed the extension of the loan period with US Deputy Treasury Secretary Robert M. Kimmit.
Hirchson praised the Administration for expressing faith in Israel's economy.
Bachar will leave for New York on Wednesday where he will present to officials and investors the Israeli government's fiscal plans after the war in the north."
